For those new to trac events and/or have limited experience driving at high speeds on track we suggest you consider gaining knowledge and track experience at any one of the many instructional track events or at a driving/racing school such as Jim Russell, Bondurant or Skip Barber. Also recommended are the Hooked on Driving track events which are geared for those new to track events as is the San Francisco Region SCCA's Thunderhill Performance Driving School. For developing car control skills autocross will help and we recommned autocrosses such as Norcal UFO, SCCA's Solo2, American Autocross and/or the Marque Clubs. Most of us are quite sure there is a race car lurking under the skin of the one in our garage and a competitive driver in our hearts. Click above for one of the best ways we know to get started. Perhaps you don't have a car you'd want to risk on the track, there are many places to rent competitive race cars delivered to the track full of gas and with a crew.
