Going to Church at a Car Show Goodguys puts on twenty premier hot rod shows across the country including four at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton California.  One of these is the West Coast Nationals attracting 100,000 auto enthusiasts to appreciate the almost 3500 Rods, Classics and Customs through '72.  Christian Rodders and Racers Association provide Chapel services for many of the events. When I close my eyes I can hear a little Brothers Cazimero in Walt Ryba's melodic voice and Matt Millers harmony.  Is it just me? At the 18th Summer Get-Together, June 4 & 5, 2011, not even the rain, unusual for this time of year, could keep the enthusiast away.  While all Goodguys events welcome rods, customs, classics, trucks, street machines and muscle cars through 1972 vintage the “Get-Togethers” include all, years, makes & models of American powered cars and trucks. Building Hot Rods to Show God's Love CRA not only brings worship to Goodguys but show cars hand built through their Hot Rod Camps, where young men learn the skills to build both a hot rod as well as a Christ centered life. WHY… CRA Hot Rod Camps, Int’l? Building hot rods as an expression of God’s love is not as uncommon as you might think.  The men from Cornerstone Fellowship rebuild a 52 year old Rambler to help Shepherd’s Gate as they continue their 25 year old tradition of rebuilding shattered lives. Built for the mission of Shepherd's Gate, to restore battered and abandoned women and children. RAMBLIN’ FOR THE LORD!!!
